Chad bans use of full-face veil after Boko Haram multiple bomb blasts

Chadian government has banned the use of full-face Muslim veil throughout the country following Monday's twin bomb blast that killed 27 people at the country's police headquarter.

Announcing the ban while speaking to religious leaders yesterday June 17th, the Chadian Prime Minister, Kalzeube Pahimi Deubet, said the government has ordered security forces to seize Burqas from markets and burn them immediately.

"Wearing the burqa must stop immediately from today, not only in public places and schools but throughout the whole of the country,"he said

He added that any type of clothing that leaves only the eyes visible is a form of "camouflage" and is now banned. He said anyone found wearing a burqa would be "arrested, tried and sentenced in summary proceedings".

He asked religious leaders to spread the message in their mosques, churches and holy places.

What keeps a man? Ali Baba shares his opinion

Someone posted this on their IG page, ace Comedian shared it on his own page and shared his own opinion on the matter. He wrote;

Much as I agree, because examples abound, many men have left very good women. But a man who wants to be kept, has to see what will keep him. Don't be fooled from what you see outside. There are usually reasons that make people walk away from what may seem to everyone as the best relationships. I know a lady who left a guy who had everything and was buff plus handsome. He however had vowed he would not have kids. The lady had to leave. Bottom line... There is more to what makes a relationship end than we may assume."

I believe you can't take a man who doesn't want to be taken. You can have sex with him, you can even be a part of his life, but you can take him from who he really wants to be with. Thoughts?

Emmanuel Adebayor dropped as captain of Togolese national team

A lot of people have family issues...most don't go on the internet to expose themselves like footballer Emmanuel Adebayor did. That action seems to have repercussions because not only has his football club Tottemham given him compassionate leave to go sort himself out, he has now been dropped as captain of Togolese national football team.

The captaincy of the former African Footballer of the Year was revoked by Togo manager Tom Saintfiet on the morning of their opening Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia. Despite scoring at the match and helping them win, his captaincy has not been returned. Reacting, Emmanuel Adebayor said he is not sure of his future in the national team and says he may not play in the next match which is in September

'For now, I don't know if I'll play in September - I'll be here and I'll talk with the coach. I need to know whether he really needs me in the team or not. I have been the captain for seven or eight years and then one morning I'm told I won't be the captain - that means that we can go to Djibouti and he will put me in the stands." he said

71yr old man slaughters wife with a machete in Akwa Igbom (very graphic pics)

A 70 year old man has been arrested in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state after he killed his 60yr old wife with a machete. The man, Ita Daniel Okpo (pictured left), from Mbiokporo village, attacked his wife, Alice Ita Daniel, with the machete while she was sleeping. The machete is also with the Police at the Force Headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia.

Narrating the story to newsmen yesterday Tuesday, 16th June, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, Mike Okoli, said the deceased was sleeping when the septuagenarian husband attacked and hacked her.

The photos are horrific. Read the rest of the story and see the photos after the cut...

"This man, Ita Daniel Okpo, in a most wicked act, slaughtered his wife with a machete and we arrested him. When asked, he admitted to killing his wife but said the late wife, Alice, always quarreled with him and that she was the first to carry machete. Gentlemen, but our findings revealed that the woman was sleeping when she was hacked to death",

When asked, the man admitted to killing his wife but said he took the action after finding out his late wife was sleeping with other men.

"I regret my act, but I was forced to kill her because it was too much on me. In fact, at a point, she openly told me she would rather kill me than to stop sleeping with these men. To match words with action, she had been fighting me several times. So, on that fateful day, while we fought, I killed her" he said

The ACP said the man will charged to court.
